Do you vote in political elections?
I DO vote in national political elections, but I must confess that I don’t always vote in my local elections.
I always vote for the governor of my state. And I always vote for president as well as my states US Congress people. I wish that I did vote in my local elections. After all, local politics, probably affects me more than anything on a national level does. I think it one reason that I don’t go to my local elections more it’s just because I’m not as well-informed on them as I should be.
Personally, I blame a lot of that on the slow death of local newspapers, any increasing irrelevancy of local TV news. But I like to think that I am a pretty well-read guy; and politics are a passion of mine.
There’s an old expression that is true in politics, and media bias, and so many other things in our lives: “there are three sides to every story: ours, theirs, and the truth.“
Earlier, in my career, I had a coworker who was from Australia. She would tell me about how her family back in Australia knew more about what was happening in America than she did while she was living here.
I think conspiracy theorists would say “that’s the idea. They want you to be less informed“; “they” probably do. But that’s why it’s so important that I do stay well informed.

What side you on?
But getting back to political elections, for the record, I’ve never voted conservative in my life. I’ve always voted for Democrat candidates, be there at the local, state, or federal level. However, I have never formally declared myself as a member of either political party, and I don’t believe that I will.
