When I’m being chased

How often do you walk or run?

I walk everyday, but I only run when I’m being chased.

In all seriousness, though, walking was really my “gateway drug“ into the world of exercising and working out when I really first got serious about it roughly 10 years ago.

I choose not to run!

I’ve kind of fallen off the wagon with it in recent years. My trips back to the gym are “start and stop” efforts to get back into working out. But even when I do go to the gym, the first thing I do is walk on the treadmill for 20 minutes just to warm up.

Lately, though, when I am on the treadmill, I try to spend at least a good four or five minutes running, just to gradually begin to build up some endurance again, and to rediscover my ability to run

It’s been proven time and again that walking is a great form of exercise; even though the guys would argue otherwise…

“Run for fun?’”

All you have to do is then, pretend that LIFE is chasing you! Being a runner, I often use that mental trick.
