Rebuilding Rob

Lately I have been working on this blog! I’ve dabbled here and there with these “daily prompts” but about two months ago, I saw a spike in my blog traffic that motivated me to write more consistently.

Writing has always been something of a passion project to me. I’ve had a few different periods over the course of my life where I’ve leaned heavily into it. These last few months are just the latest example.

Seeing the likes, comments and follows have definitely been an extrinsic motivation for me. (I check my blog stats more often than I care to admit) Inevitably, I have more to say about some topic than I do others; so I definitely prefer some of my posts to others. But at the same time, the more write, the more I see my typical Rob narrative structure coming back to form.

They say that it takes several months to actually form a habit. I hope that, at this pint, I’m well Im on way to making writing a part of my daily routine.
