I should warn you that not only do I eat badly, I eat like a little kid. So here goes:
1. Water – I hate to buy water, but for five years, I lived in an area where I didn’t have access to city water. At least, the city water tasted differently than what was used to for most of my life. So got into the habit of buying bottled water.
2. Lunch meat – I love sandwiches. I’m a bologna junkie but I’m trying to move into something slightly healthier so sliced chicken, roast beef and ham are options.
3. Peanut butter – I’ve always liked peanut butter. I think I’m becoming even more of a junkie with age.
4. bread – I can’t make sandwiches without bread. I’m gradually transitioning over the wheat bread, since white bread is just filler.
5. Chicken nuggets – kid 2 is an even pickier eater than I am. This has been a staple in his diet forever. He seems to be growing out of the chicken nugget obsession lately.
What are your top 5 grocery items?
