This is another one of those topics that I almost choose not to think about because I don’t want to have to come back down to reality. Incidentally, we got a topic very similar to this about 5 months ago. You can check out my post called Our Castle and Our Keep.
Like my earlier post My Ideal Day, this one isn’t going to be very well laid out. I’m just going to start listing a bunch of ideas of things that I would want in my perfect home.
- I’d like it to be a decent size house, enough to give me and the boys some space. But I don’t need a mansion necessarily.
- I would like a decent amount of property to it, at least in the backyard. Room for a pool, and baseball field. May be a basketball court if I’m feeling like it definitely a hot tub.
- I wouldn’t want to be too far from whatever town I’m living in. I wouldn’t want it to be so remote that I have to drive 25 minutes to go to pick up a couple of random groceries. But at the same time, I want some space of my own. I’d like a little privacy.
- But I do want neighbors. Good neighbors. The kind of people who I would be friendly with, but not necessarily have to be friends with. But being friends with my neighbors would be nice too.
- I’d like to have some kind of indoor gym, at least at a place where kid 1 could set up some gymnastics, equipment and practice
- I want a garage big enough that I can actually park my car, or cars in
As I said, I don’t really have a lot of demands for a house. It doesn’t have to be terribly fleshier extravagant. But if this is an imaginary scenario, I think there are a few splurges, I would like to have, as I mentioned above.
Describe your dream home.
