There is a viral TikTok video making it way through the interwebs where women are asked if they would rather be stuck in the woods with a man or a bear. The results…aren’t really surprising. Check it out…
The VAST majority of women asked said if given the choice, they would prefer to be stuck in the woods with a bear over a man. The rational here being, of course, that despite the fact that bear are much more physically threatening than human men, women are – statistically speaking – far less likely to be attacked by a bear than by a man.
Of course, this makes sense. One of the darkest things I learned in college – and this was decades before the #MeToo movement – was the number of women who were either victims of domestic violence or sexual assault. I was not ready for the number of stories I heard from fellow students. The #MeToo movement only escalated this crisis. Now people who I had personally know for many years were coming forward, finally bringing stories i had never heard about to light.
Ladies, me get it. We understand why you chose the bear. You don’t have to womansplain it to us. There are men out there who are absolute monsters. They make your lives a living hell and they make thing lousy for us decent guys.
And therein lies the rub: women are scared of men being monsters; while the good men are afraid of being accused of being monsters
