Let’s Go to the Show!

Daily writing prompt
What was the last live performance you saw?

“Live performance “is a pretty broad term. With that in mind, I will try, to the best of my knowledge, to remember all of the various live performances I’ve seen most recently:

Most recent sporting event: Arizona Diamondbacks vs Atlanta Braves. Truist park. Atlanta, Georgia. I wrote what I thought was a fairly extensive review of truest Park here. That was the last sporting event that I’ve been to.

Over the last few years, I’ve been making a push to see more major-league baseball stadiums, which is probably why I’ve seen more baseball games than I have other life events in recent years

Last concert: Man, this is probably sometime before Covid. I mean, I have seen some smaller bands of some much smaller venues. But as far as seeing a big band at stadium or outdoor amphitheater, it will probably be Korn and Rob Zombie.

Are used to go to a lot more concerts on my 20s, and even in my 30s. Part of the problem has been that as conscious have gotten more expensive, my disposal income has shrunk. This is further compounded by the fact that a lot of the musicians I like her just starting to get old and have lost a few steps. And I’ve written about previously here, concerts just don’t have the same magic that they used to have for me.

Last theater/stage performance: wow, this is even further back! I would probably have to say the last live show I saw was the American Idiot musical.

Enjoy going to theater shows. The problem has been that there have been several shows that I’ve wanted to see that have come to Detroit recently. But whatever reason, I either don’t think about it when the tickets go on sale or I end up blocking at the price. This is another one of those instances where I have to just pull the proverbial trigger, spend the money and have fun.

This post has been coming to one unavoidable conclusion: I need to get out more
