One year ago today, I wrote this post about AI – artificial intelligence. In the time since, I’ve had a lot more experience with AI, specifically how students apply it to their education. Even though it’s only been one year since my original post, I’m a little stunned at how quickly AI, and AI apps are becoming a part of everyday life.
Check my original post below. My concerns listed there still apply today…
As a teacher, students turning in AI-generated writing assignments has become a big issue. I have caught students trying to pass off AI-generated papers as their own, original work. However, like so many other things in life, you can know something is true even if you aren’t able to prove it. For as many students as I have caught cheating, I’m sure there’s a lot more who do it and don’t get caught.
