I originally responded to this prompt about a year ago. Today, was going to take on the task of writing about another time I felt out of place. Then I realized that I already wrote about that experience in another previous post that’s embedded below:
At the time, I really wanted to prove to myself that I could hang with people like that. That really rich people put their pants on one at a time, just like me. And it is true; but the truth is, that just wasn’t my scene. I could exist in that world; could function in that world, but I would never feel comfortable in that world. And that realization dawned on me more as that relationship drew to a close.
