Having a good neighbor is pretty self-explanatory. There are people who are polite, maybe even friendly. They’re willing to look out for you , Your family, and your property when you’re not around. The kind of people who would shovel your sidewalk in the middle of winter in the event that you’re not able to get to it yourself.
What a good neighbor is not is nosy. I feel like the idea of the gossipy neighbor who knows everybody’s personal business has almost become a stereotype and American culture. You may not have a lot in common with them. They might not have a lot in common with you. But like a good sibling, good neighbors can look past each other’s differences and have each other’s backs.
