The Greatest Risk

A long time ago, I saw a magazine ad, I can’t remember what it was even selling, but it included the tagline “The greatest risk in life is the one that you don’t take“. I try to live my life by that expression; Or at least I like to think that I do. Another one of my favorite expressions is “fortune favors bold”.

Some vintage Shatnerian acting, but he’s right

I believe good things happen to people who take chances. Yes it’s true; sometimes taking risks backfires spectacularly. But every now and then, a risk pays off; And the rewards are greater than anyone can imagine.

last year when I got this prompt, I said that the biggest first I wasn’t willing to take was getting into a relationship. That might kind of still be true. I’m talking to a few people. I’ve gone out with one of them a couple times. But I don’t know that I even want to be in a relationship at this point. In some cases, I don’t think that I’m in any position to be in a relationship at this point – be in my finances, my personal assets.

Maybe that’s all the more reason to simply go for it…
