It’s a Wonderful Rob!

Daily writing prompt
Is there an age or year of your life you would re-live?

My answer to this is the same as it was last year because the one time of my life I would relive was when I was 20-21 years old (1994-1995). As I’ve said elsewhere before, it was a time when I had a balance of a lot of freedom and few responsibilities.

I was still living at home at the time, attending classes at the local community college (before I transferred to a 4-year university). I ran my own landscaping company at the time – so I was my own boss. In the off-season I would work retail. This was also around the time that my friends and I started frequenting bars in Canada as well as some local clubs.

Of course some of my favorite music, music that I still listen to today, was coming out during this time frame. They say that “the college years” are a very formative time for young adults. For me, this was a time when social, cultural and political views all coalesced and made me the person that I am today.

If I were to go back and re-live that period of my life, things might be radically different; provided of course, I decided to do things differently. This was a moment that really affected the course of my life. I was 21 when I transferred schools. It was at that point that I met the future X1.
