Daily writing prompt
What will your life be like in three years?

This is one prompt that I’ve actually been looking forward to having recycled. I responded to this prompt roughly one year ago. As you can see above, it is asking us what our life is going to be like in three years. My response from last year is in the embed just below this paragraph.

i’m going to go through last year‘s prompts step-by-step: it’s only been about a year, but I’m curious to see what I’ve called correctly so far and when I was drastically wrong. Furthermore, I’m going to go ahead and make a few predictions about what I will be like in the 2027.

My hope is that in 2027, I will have finished – or at least almost finished my Master’s degree. Of course, I haven’t even applied to grad school yet. It is my sincerest hope that we are getting ready to start year 3 of Kamala Harris’s administration as President of the United States.

Kid 1 will be 20 and well on his way to earning his bachelor’s degree. Kid 2 will be 12 and in 7th grade – hopefully adjusting well to one of the biggest transition periods in a young person’s life.

God willing, I will still be plugging away at my career, happy and healthy. I don’t know what my relationship status will be at that point and I’m not sure I even care anymore. Of course, I would like to be in a relationship; but I would rather be alone and happy than involved with someone and miserable.

Looking back at looking forward

The only predictions I made were rather obvious ones: In the year 2026, I said that Kid 1 will be 19. Kid 2 would be 11. Those two things are obviously true. With kid 1 passing 18, I had said that I would no longer be paying formal child support. This is one area in which I was drastically wrong. I wrote in detail about this HERE.
