This is another one of those recycled prompts where I wish I really had something new with which to answer this question. However, my first home theater system is still the most expensive personal item I’ve ever purchased. For this reason, I have embedded my response to this prompt from last year below.

    You and my hubby together. He used to spend hours looking at Hi-Fi magazines reading the reviews, then going to hi-fi exhibitions, listening to his favourite music tracks.
    He has bought an odd mix of pieces over the years, swapped things out for better. So now he has an eclectic mix of amps, pre amps, front rear and centre speakers. And he has just got a good deal on a projector – and is busy looking for a screen to go with it!!
    Luckily my eldest son is also big on his sound systems! He does the same, but has gone into the installation business.
    I’m frightened to ask how much they have paid over the years!!!
