I’m going to open this response with the same line that I opened last year’s response to this prompt with: I like to think that I’m a good judge of character.
I think I’m fair and compassionate I give people chances. Sometimes, maybe too many chances. sometimes I wish I was a little more cynical, but that’s just not how I’m wired. I talked about this a lot in the last response to this prompt. To be honest, my position on the stuff really has not changed.
One thing I will tell mystudent, though, especially if they decide to cross me or screw me over is “I’m the last, best friend you’ll have in this place“. And I mean that if someone loses my trust in my confidence, they’re done for.
An area where I have gotten better at judging character, and severing ties when things go south, is in my love life. If I’m not feeling it with a woman, I break up with her. I just don’t see the point in dragging things on and leading anyone on. All that does is hurts feelings.
Are you a good judge of character?
