wow, Facebook isn’t even trying to mix these up anymore. I responded to this prompt exactly one year ago today. And my answer is the same Now, as it was then. In fact, Of the strength of my political conviction has only increased in the last 12 months.
I voted for Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election. There is nothing you can tell me to convince me that Donald Trump is a more qualified Kennedy and her. But, the election went the way that it did and now I’m dreading January 20, 2025.
I don’t deny that there are extremists are both ends of the political spectrum. At this point, I don’t know which side prompted the other two entrenched themselves deeper into Their political views. I don’t know if it was the Ronald Reagan cult of personality that forced Democrats to go further to the left. Likewise, I don’t know if it was the Genesis of the phrase “politically correct“ that force Republicans to move further to the right. At this point, it doesn’t even matter. Long gone or the times when people from either side of the political aisle, could joke around with each other about the other’s views; and at the end of the day, understand that they both want to make the country a better place.
But I cannot, in good conscious, support a candidate like Donald Trump or any of his agendas. I’m not even going to explain why anymore. I fundamentally disagree with the man. I’m pretty much everything.
Having said that,, Harris got an absolutely raw deal trying to put together a presidential campaign in roughly 100 days. Joe Biden should’ve dropped out of the 2024 campaign much earlier than he did. Unfortunately, Harris‘s campaign was doomed from the beginning. Some of them say that she made in her campaign or things that could’ve been course corrected, if she had a good 12 to 18 months to put together a full-fledged campaign. Unfortunately, for her, one or two mistakes on such a short timetable doomed her campaign.
