As WordPress continues to recycle old prompts, I pulled another prompt from The Coffee Monsterz Co to respond to today.
Do you think it is possible to have a truly perfect day, with no negative emotions and no negative events?
As much as I would like to think that it is possible to have a perfect day, with no negativity, I know that it’s not very realistic for a few reasons.
Our minds wander
There’s no way to really slow down or even stop, let alone control thoughts. The human brain has. Inevitably something negative is going to come up in the day. Even if it’s just the slightest worry, the slightest concern it would just arise, however, briefly. It is inevitable.
A matter of perspective
Without bad times, the good times mean nothing; and vice versa. I don’t wanna sound like a Downey downer. I would love to have a day where I don’t have a care in the world. But without those bad times, without those fleeting thoughts, the good times loser impact. There’s no thanks for the good times to be better than that. And things just lose their significance
As I said, I would love to have 24 hours of just completely positive thoughts, positive experiences, and all-around good times. But I also know that in that fantasy world, life would be kind of boring.
