As WordPress continues to recycle old prompts, I pulled another prompt from The Coffee Monsterz Co to respond to today

When do you feel the most peaceful?

In this era of the 500 channel universe, social media, the internet and smartphones, it more important than ever that we all disconnect and slow down from time to time. This is why so many people covet activities like camping, exercising and just getting off the grid occasionally. I am no exception. I find there are times when there’s too much noise and too many expectations.

I’m no fitness but, but there’s a lot to be said about the release of endorphins that takes place during physical activity. I’ve tried my hand at meditating before, even doing yoga. In my regular day-to-day life, I probably find myself the most at peace when I am exercising.

Clearly, I’m not a doctor, nor am I an expert on any of these three methods. But here’s what I found works for me and why:

Yoga

I don’t have much experience with yoga in fact most of my yoga-ing consists of a few free videos I’ve found on YouTube. But I have enough experience with yoga to know that it is relaxing. Yoga makes you stretch and use muscles most of us don’t even know exist.

Meditation

Like yoga, meditating has a lot to do with breathing. However meditation it’s more about relaxing and the mind.

Working out / exercise

There’s nothing that makes the body stronger and clear his mind more, at least in my opinion, then physical activity. It’s a release of endorphins. It happens through physical activity. It’s just a natural high.
