As WordPress continues to recycle old prompts, I pulled another prompt from The Coffee Monsterz Co to respond to today
What makes you feel enthused and energised?
I don’t feel like a set-up a really necessary. So here’s a list of things that get my heart pounding and my adrenaline flowing:
The first day of school – as a teacher, I look at the first day of school the same way baseball players look at Opening Day in baseball. Everything starts anew and it’s a time of unlimited possibilities. Speaking of baseball…
Opening day for major league baseball – ball players say the same thing about opening day that I say about the first day of school: if you don’t get at least a little bit excited, it’s time to retire.
The start of a road trip – the only thing better than temporarily stepping away from your usual surroundings is the first few steps of that journey. That feeling of the road, or the skies, opening up is exhilarating.
A good workout – endorphins are great for the natural high they give you that and I actually feel stronger in the middle of a workout. I know it doesn’t really work this way, but I feel like I can feel myself getting bigger in the middle of a workout.
The music to get me pumped up -there’s a reason they don’t play classical music at sporting events. The right song can make me feel like I’m strong enough to run through a brick wall.
