What things give you energy?
My kids give me energy. Or at least, my kids make me feel younger. Anybody who’s ever raised a boy knows that growing boys are not energetic as much as they are a force of nature. they don’t stop; and I have no choice, but to keep up with them.
Exercise, or working out, gives me energy. While it’s true that for the first week or two, you’re pretty tired; eventually your body gets used to the work out and almost start screaming at them. Mental note to get back to the gym today.

I feel like I don’t always have as much endurance as maybe the next person does. But I feel like when other people are down, my second wind kicks in. I look no further than teaching. The academic school year is a long one. Somewhere during the third quarter of the year, Most teachers start experiencing burnout. I’m not sure why – maybe it’s because when I see other people tired, I realize that I’m not alone – and my second wind kicks in. I feel energized. I usually try to be good spirited, and quick witted.
My attitude also gives me energy. I find that the first five minutes of my day is what really determines whether or not it will be productive. If I am able to hit the ground running, I will have a very productive day. If I don’t have a good attitude, and I’m struggling to get out of bed, it will probably be a lazy day.
Of course, this last one probably goes without saying, but caffeine gives me energy. I’ll be enough, I’m not a coffee drinker. I drink soda. Probably too much of it at that. It’s not that I can’t stomach a cup of coffee. But I’m just not a big coffee drinker. For me, coffee is more of a social experience. I’ll basically drink coffee just because there’s other adults around.
What gives you energy?
