Rob reads “I love you but I don’t want to sleep with you”

Wow. The idea of couples sleeping in separate room isn’t totally unheard of. However, I’m shocked at how commonplace it is. I get when couples are older – people have different sleeping habits. Besides, most old people don’t have sex very often (or do they?) to me, this sounds like a case of people wanting to have their cake and eat it too.

I’ve been in relationships where my partner snores louder than I did. That made for a bad nights sleep. I’ve also been in relationships where I was the heavy breather, so I felt like I had to breath softly all night. Neither situation is a comfortable place to be in. Maybe I’m old-fashioned. But to me if you’re not sharing a bed with your partner, then what’s the point of being in a relationship?

Likewise, I’ve been on relationships where we started sleeping in different beds. I’m my experience, when that happens, the relationship is on borrowed time. I’m both cases, it wasn’t because I was keeping secrets from my partner. It was because I had already fallen out of love with them

What are your thoughts on partners sleeping I separate beds?

Yeah, snoring can be a problem here. My husband spent some time on the couch for that but in the end we didn’t like that arrangement… I actually asked him at the time not to tell anyone; I was too embarrassed. Now I sleep with earbuds in and ocean sounds all night long to block out the sound of the snoring and that’s working, for the most part.

I started using a CPAP machine for sleep apnea two years ago and it has been a game-changer!

Yeah, he won’t do a machine. I accept that though, his body his choice. LOL

For what it’s worth, he would get the best sleep of his life with it!

I hate my machine but I sleep much better.

About three weeks after I got mine, I started seeing these commercials for these “nicotine, patch looking” things that are supposed to help with sleep apnea. I haven’t tried one of them, I’m just sticking with my machine. But the idea that the technology change that quickly just made me laugh.

Yeah. Looking to get mine upgraded. It is about seven years old.
Curious to what I end up with.
I’d like to avoid the face mask. Miserable device.

I had to get a mask that covered my mouth, instead of my nose. The setting of mine is pretty high end for me. It was just too much air being forced through my nose.

I had to do mouth and nose.
I feel like I’m being assaulted by the Aliens face huggers.
