What could you try for the first time?
If I could try something for the first time, I would try sky diving. I’m not talking about indoor skydiving either (though it might be a good idea to try that first). I’m talking about jumping out of a perfectly good airplane with nothing but a parachute and the ground to stop me.
I went bungee jumping almost 30 years ago when I was in college. I only tried it once but it was an incredible adrenaline rush. To this day day, it’s one of those things that I still talk about; mainly because most people are too scared (or too smart) to try it. I’d like to experience all of that again.
Here’s the thing: there’s plenty of skydiving businesses near me. I just have to decide to take the plunge (pun fully intended)

Why do we hold off on things we want to do? Sometimes it’s because of the cost. Other times it’s because of the time involved. I think another good reason for our procrastination is that we take things for granted. We think to ourselves that we have “all the time in the world”. The truth is that when you want to do something, at some point you have to stop making excuses and make it happen. I know that was my attitude about going to baseball games in Pittsburgh and Chicago this past summer.
Post Script
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that today would have been my parents my parents’s 54th wedding anniversary.
What is one thing you could try for the first time? And what’s stopping you from doing it?
