Initially, my life had changed considerably as a result of the COVID-19 lockdowns. Like everybody else, I really couldn’t go anywhere. As a schoolteacher, I was automatically bumped near the front of the priority list for people to get the first Covid vaccines.
My school districted offered teachers the option to either teach virtually or teach on site with reduce class sizes. I offered to teach face-to-face with smaller class sizes, since I got a slight Pay bonus. Be on there, I was fascinated by the idea of teaching classes, if only 7 to 10 students. Of course, when we were forced to go back into lockdown again, I went virtual.
Grocery shopping became a bit of a scavenger hunt there for a while. Even now, I feel like we don’t see store shells as heavily stocked as they once were. For a while, I was a little more hyper sensitive about wiping things down and wearing masks in public. Insides, I actually went to the gym to work out a few times wearing a mask. I must admit that while I was happy to do my part and wear a mask, I was delighted at the moment when the Covid restriction started lifting.
And I must admit that the first few times I did go out in public. Once the Covid restrictions started lifting, I was a little bit anxious. I thought I was naked going out in public without a mask. But at the same time, I realize I never take day to day life for granted again.
I don’t think that my life has had any permanent changes as a result of COVID-19. I got the virus, I think, three times; With each time Having slightly diminished symptoms.
