This one is right up my alley; as I teach for a living. the neat thing about a prompt like this is that everybody has experience with good and bad teachers. In my mind – and the things I strive to be as a teacher are:
- A willingness to learn / being comfortable with not knowing everything.
- The ability to actually impart wisdom and others – this goes along with the first one. I’ve known some very knowledgeable teachers, who couldn’t teach a lesson to save their life
- Caring – a teacher has to care about their students. And more than that, students have to see that their teacher cares about them.
- Discplined
- enthusiastic
- passionate
