I’ve never been much of a card player. it’s jus never appealed to me; and the games I do know how to play, I’m not very good at.
I haven’t played too many board games since I was a kid, but i remember playing most of the classics. Monopoly, Scrabble, Sorry, The Game of Life, Clue all had a place on the game shelf in my parents’ house. Although I don;t play board games much anymore – except with my kids, chances are, I’m more likely to play a board game today than I am a video game.

In my youth, I was the prime demographic for video games. I grew up with the Atari 2600 and the Intellivision. Colecovision was on the fringes; but it was one of those systems that almost “too good to last” at the time. But video games as we know the really came of age with the Nintendo Entertainment System in the late 80s. I never had a Sega, so Nintendo was my thing. I enjoyed super Mario Bros and The Legend of Zelda well enough, but my all-time favorite NES game was Metroid. Hearing that 8-bit music soundtrack takes me right back to junior high:
