What brings a tear of joy to your eye?

A CONFESSION: I’m a softy. I’m a sucker for sweet, heartwarming, touchy stuff. I wouldn’t go as far as to say that I’m a crybaby. I wouldn’t say that I am emotionally weak. On the contrary, when people cry tears of joy, it is because they are overwhelmed with their emotions and it’s simply the body’s natural way of release.

It’s not unlike when someone gets into a physical altercation and they cry afterwards. Typically they’re just so overcome with emotion and the adrenaline flowing through their body that they need to release it somehow.

Unless of course, we’re talking about the person who just got their ass kicked. 

TikTok has probably made me cry more than any other social media platform. I love seeing stories about dog adoptions and dog rescues. There is an account that does “images to restore your faith in humanity” that I also get a kick out of.

I think these kinds of videos are important. There’s so much negativity on social media, let alone in our real lives, that we need something uplifting. That’s also the reason there’s an entire market for “family entertainment“. Hallmark movies, I’m looking right at you.

We laugh because this is funny; and we laugh because this is true 

Sure, the the things that fall under the “family entertainment“ category aren’t necessarily well written. In fact, they’re usually formulaic. But the truth is, people need happy endings. And I think that’s why even so many of mainstream movies end happily.

      It hasn’t always been easy! I think what really motivated me was. I started seeing my numbers go up. But there have been times where I really “phoned it in”
