Crying wolf

Sorry. I ain’t buying it.

Not this time. Not at all.

It’s being reported that an AK-47 went off at golf club owned by Donald Trump. The incident is now being referred to as “a second assassination attempt”.

I didn’t buy the first one; so I ain’t buying this one.

To be fair, Donald Trump isn’t the first President – or even the first Presidential candidate – to deal with assassination attempts – or even multiple attempts. But given how prone he is to taking time social media, a camera or even a phone call to express his thoughts on…anything, the fact that he has been silent on these assassination attempts raises eyebrows.

Don’t get me wrong I would not wish an assassination upon anyone. To be honest, I HOPE that I’m wrong; because I hate to think about what it means if I am right. I’d like to think that plotting his own assassination attempt, let alone two of them, would be beneath even Donald Trump. But Trump has shown us – time and again – that just when he think can’t stoop any lower, he finds a a way to slide under the proverbial bar.

Having gotten that out of the way, there’s no way you could convince me that Trump’s golf club security, let alone his Secret Service agents (who are already dealing with the fallout of the first assassination attempt) are so inept that they did not have this property absolutely locked-down. I refuse to believe that.

I’m sure this will probably get me on some kind of “enemy of the state” list in the event that he gets elected again; but I believe that the first assassination attempt on Trump was in fact, staged. And so was this most recent one.

Tell me this wasn’t a perfectly orchestrated photo-op.

Now there are reports coming out that this alleged assassin may have been waiting at the golf club for as much as 12 hours before he “struck”. If so, how then he’ll did security not pick up on this guy just hanging out in the woods?

Here another thing no one is really talking about: IF both of the assassination attempts are/were legit, it makes America feel a lot more like in of these banana republics, where people are constantly trying to knock off politicians.

I’m curious to see how much Trump talks about this second assassination attempt; or if he even talks about it at all. When the last one happened, he went golfing the day after. Then he taped a maxi pad to his ear for the RNC, with many of his cult member following suit. Bit for a guy who has spent the better part of the last decade using social media to blast everything from political rivals to forest fires – he sure is quiet about the first assassination attempt.

Could it be because the first would-be-assassin was a registered Republican?
