I wish I had something new on say on this prompt, which I originally answered last year. But the fact is my feelings are still the same. For most work, I have to have some sort of extrinsic motivation. Like all of us “what’s in it for me?“ Is a question that often passes through my lips.

The other day, I was talking how my response to student who says “I hate school” it’s just say “I know, right? I mean, they have to pay me money just to be sure I come in and do my job every every day!” And that is still true. I love what I do for a living, but I would not do it for free. I’d like money. I like food. I like clothing. I like being able to do

While there is still something to be said about a good days hard work. Having something tangible, almost as the fruit of your labor, is very important to me; just as it was a year ago, just as I discussed in the embedded post below…
