Encore la France

Daily writing prompt
Do you have a favorite place you have visited? Where is it?

it’s only been one year since I last posted on this topic. And for a guy who doesn’t travel much, it’s not as if I have really gone anywhere that could’ve topped my trip to France back in the summer of 1990. I mean, what if I really done in the last year? Atlanta? Cincinnati? While I like to go into baseball games in those cities, Neither of those places could ever compare with France.

so I’m embedding my response to this prompt from last year below. I think I summed it all up pretty well at the time.

It is the first, and two days only really big city abroad that I’ve ever traveled to; and I still think it’s going to be mighty hard to top!

Yeah, you can’t. It’s the best city in Europe. I was there a year ago this week. I’m angling to go back in June.

    “See last year’s reply”… There’s a pattern here. 🤨🤡

True, but at the same time, how many different daily prompts can we realistically expect WordPress to come up with?

Sometimes I think maybe I need to step away from the blog for a little bit and try to come back refreshed. But I really don’t want to end my streak yet.

Besides, I have a couple of my own original entries cooking in the drafts right now and I don’t want to abandon those

Well… Since you wrote a serious reply to my tease… I’ll pretend I’m worthy to play writing coach here and offer 2 seconds of legitimate advice. 🙂

First, find stuff to write about beyond the writing prompts, as you indicated you’re doing. With the prompts, try digging a little deeper and seeing if anything has shifted one way or the other in your views or experiences. Even something small can add more depth to the post. 😉 🙂

Hemingway wrote posthumously A mouvable Feast on Paris but if he travel a bit more would have done a second volume on France, a mouvable feast! Cheers
