My bracket as hit an iceberg. There is a hole in its proverbial hull. Water is pouring in. But like the third class passengers on the Titanic, I’m stuck with her. Fortunately, for me, I was ever arrogant enough to think that my bracket was unsinkable. Let’s see if I can do a little bit better with Friday games than I did with Thursdays…

- #6 seed Ole Miss loses to #2 seed Michigan State. This is one of the games that my bracket is completely out of. I had neither Ole Miss nor Michigan State making it this far into the tournament. But even as a casual college basketball fan, I should’ve known better than to ever count Tom Izzo and Michigan State University out. LOSS
- #2 seed Kentucky beats #3 seed Tennessee. This one went by the numbers, although I somehow had Utah State advancing all the way to the elite eight. LOSS
- #1 seed Auburn defeats #5 seed Michigan. Oddly enough, I did not have this year‘s Big Ten tournament winner, Michigan, making it this far either. As a native Michigan there and a lifelong wolverine fan, I’m excited to see the team reach this point. Had Michigan won this game, they would have faced Michigan State in the elite eight WIN
- #1 seed Houston beats #4 seed Purdue. I had Purdue winning this one and actually going onto the final four. LOSS
1–3 for tonight’s action. Given the state of my bracket at this point, it’s not too shocking.
