Rob’s 2025 Men’s March Madness Bracket Update – The Final Four

And then there were four…

My bracket started out pretty well for the round 64. Then, it gradually fell apart; with a sweet 16 and elite and 8 and rounds really doing me in. If I recall correctly, ESPN has never had a single perfect bracket in their March madness bracket challenge. So I guess I’m in pretty good company.

Let’s take one less look at my bracket. That this is “one last look“ will make sense when you read the highlights below…

38-24 over 63 games. At least it’s a winning record…
  • In the early game, the West region’s #1 seed Florida beat the south regions #1 seed Auburn 79-73. I think, for the purposes of the ESPN bracket challenge, I didn’t even pick winners for either of the semifinal games. The challenge only had me pick a champion from among the final four. However, I didn’t even have Florida making it to this game. My original pick was St. John’s. Either way, this one is a LOSS for my bracket.
  • As of this writing, is beating the Midwest region’s #1 seed Houston beat the east region #1 seed Duke in the last 20 seconds of the game that ESPN is already describing as “shocking”. LOSS

And with that, my 2025 Men’s March Madness bracket is officially toast. It was a good run for me. I think next year, I will create 25 brackets as eapn.com’s contest allows contestant to do.

Here are my totals for this year’s bracket:

  • Round of 64: 26-6
  • Round of 32: 9-7
  • The Sweet 16: 2-6
  • The Elite 8: 2-2
  • The Final Four: 0-2
  • The Championship: 0-1
  • Totals: 38-24. Not as good as I thought. But none of the experts could have predicted this either.

And with that, another year of Rob‘s March Madness Predictions comes to an end. Ultimately, I’d called to see her success, as the whole purpose of this will to keep me occupied until baseball season started, which it has done. Mission accomplished!

Unless I decide to make a prediction on tomorrow night’s championship game as well…
