As WordPress continues to recycle old prompts, I pulled another prompt from The Coffee Monsterz Co to respond to today
What is currently your biggest source of stress?
In 1798 poem “Rime of the Ancient Mariner” the mariner, who is also the narrator of the poem, kills an albatross as forced to wear it around his neck. The albatross becomes a symbol of burdens and regrets. My albatross would be my student loan debt. Without a doubt, my biggest source of stress right now is my bills, specifically my student loans.
Let’s just say I owe a lot of money on my student loans still. I’ll put it this way: I’m glad we don’t have debtor’s prisoners anymore like they did during the middle ages.
I will have to continue my education eventually, so I’ll be able to defer my loans a little longer. Of course, If I had my way, I’d be a professional student forever. I know that’s not very realistic, and I still have to start making some more headway on my loans; but it would be nice to get back in school and defer them for a little while longer
