The next five fearful years

What worries you about the next 5 years?

Right now, everything worries me about the next five years. In the more immediate future, I’m just hoping that we is Americans can survive the next 3 1/2 years. I’m hoping that we have another election in in roughly 3 1/2 years for president. At this point, I’m hoping that we just have midterm elections about 18 months from now.

Kid 1 going to college

I worry about kid 1 going to college. I’m hoping that he’ll be able to keep his grades up and maintain his scholarship, because I know I can’t afford to pay his tuition and the way things are going, they are not even going to have money available for a student loans at this rate.

The thing is, I have some friends who ended up losing their full college scholarships because being away from home and independent for the first time, proved too much for them to balance with college life. I think the kid1 will be fine once he gets into his element, but you never really know until it happens.

Kid 2’s immediate future

I’m also worried about Kid 2’s immediate future. we currently have a secretary of Health and Human Services and Robert F Kennedy Jr, who has made calls for a national database for people diagnosed with autism. That scares the hell out of me. We haven’t heard so much from RFK about it lately, as the current uses indicating that we have our worst measles numbers in the United States in 33 years. But the autism database is something he has talked about. I will once again say is what I’ve said before about it: I will defend my son‘s rights with my dying breath.

The Trump presidency in general

Beyond my own personal interest, and those of my immediate family and closest friends, I am worried about the world in general. Yes, we will survive a second term of Trump, I think. But at this point, what is almost my bigger concern it is how long will it take America to rebuild a reputation with the rest of the world? The action he’s already taken and set this country back decades. And even if we get a more progressive administration in the next term, who won the world is going to trust our country anymore? I can’t blame them if they don’t.
