As WordPress continues to recycle old prompts, I pulled another prompt from The Coffee Monsterz Co to respond to today
If you could open a café, what would it be like?
I’m no foodie or anything, and I’m not entrepreneur either. But if I was going to open a café, it would probably be something along the lines of a “small plates“ place. I would serve drinks: coffee, tea, juices, soft drinks. I wouldn’t really get too much into having too many food options but I would do appetizers are “small plate” type food.
I think I would almost like to have it model like a French café. Not so much in American style coffeehouse, but more than a coffee house, but less than a full service restaurant. Basically, I would like to make a place where people could come and have a little something to eat, have a little something to drink, hang out, be social and people watch.
I don’t know how successful of a business model this would be. To be honest, I’m still kind of perplex that coffee housees make enough money to stay open. But, here we are in 2025, and Starbucks is considered the biggest fast food company in the world. For the record I offer I would not consider Starbucks to be fast food.
Since this is an imaginary scenario, and I couldn’t basically do what I want with this theoretical business of mine. One thing I would like to do is either donate to the homeless; or offer a dine option that I’m like what Jon Bon Jovi does in his Soul Kitchen restaurant.
One of the thing I would like to do with this café would be to have it open 24 hours. I don’t know how feasible that it would be for an actual café, but I like the idea of a place always being open.
