Never was a cloudy day

As WordPress continues to recycle old prompts, I pulled another prompt from The Coffee Monsterz Co to respond to today

What do you love about this time of year?

For me there’s a lot to NOT love about September. I hate that summer is ending; and in turn baseball season is winding down. I hate the shorter days and longer nights. I hate the uneasiness in knowing that the weather is going together worse before it gets better. September is a reminder to me, as they say o. Game of Thrones that Winter is Coming.

While the weather is cooling down, this year at least, my favorite baseball team of all time, the Detroit Tigers, is gearing up for the postseason. Right now, I don’t have any unrealistic expectations about them making or winning the World Series but it’s going to be a fun playoff run this year.

As much as I feel like September is the beginning of the end of summer, it is probably the most pleasant weather we have in Michigan all year. In the first half of the month, the days are warm enough to make you feel like it’s still summer. Of course, when the sun goes down, it cools off quite quickly. Of course, I’m something of a weird contradiction. I love the song. I love the heat, but I don’t like sweating too much. I like being cooler in general, but I don’t like feeling frigid cold. But for these reasons, September is my favorite month in Michigan, weatherwise. And it is the one thing I love about this time of year.
