As WordPress continues to recycle old prompts, I pulled another prompt from The Coffee Monsterz Co to respond to today
If you could wish for something for someone else, what and for who would it be?
At the risk of sounding too self righteous, I think I probably wish for more things for other people than I do for myself.
First and foremost, I wish for peace, safety and freedom for everybody. I don’t want to see anybody hurt, suffered, or being oppressed. I want everybody to be happy, as long as they’re happiness doesn’t come at the cost of somebody else’s.
There’s just so much conflict in the world right now. Even here in America, people are worried that it’s becoming more and more of an authoritarian regime. I just don’t get why some people feel like they have to curtail certain rights for others, in order made themselves feel good.
I could probably talk about this in detail for hours citing specific examples of different conflicts around the world and different examples of political turmoil here in America. But I just want everybody to be happy. I don’t even mean in this Kumbaya kind of way. I just wish everybody would leave each other and well enough alone.
I’m writing this late Sunday/early Monday morning, so I’m already very tired. I think I’m just going to let this ride.
