As WordPress continues to recycle old prompts, I pulled another prompt from The Coffee Monsterz Co to respond to today
Do you think it’s possible to be completely yourself around another person?
I don’t know if I am “completely myself“ around anybody. I feel like everybody I know gets a little bit of a different aspect to my personality. For instance, I find that when kid two is with me, I act one way, and when I’m with Veronica, I have a different way. But when kid two and Veronica were both with me at the baseball game this weekend, I felt like they got a little bit of a combination of both.
Let’s face it, whether we like to admit it or not, we all have some of our own stuff internally that we don’t really let other people know about.
Even as a kid, I feel like I acted differently around different friends. And it’s not as if I straddled social cliques But I would notice that I acted differently and even the sound of my voice was a little bit different at times.
I wish I could be 100% my authentic-welf with somebody. Isn’t that the goal? To find someone who loves you for who you truly are?
