The Four-Color Food Challenge: Surviving Two Weeks on Red, Yellow, Green, and Brown

As WordPress continues to recycle old prompts, I pulled another prompt from The Coffee Monsterz Co to respond to today

You can pick a red, yellow, green, and brown food item to live off for the next 2 weeks. Which four food items would you pick?

I normally hate food-related questions because I’m not much of a foodie. At the same time, I embrace the challenge of stepping out of my own comfort zone. If I could only pick one food of each of the following colors to eat for two weeks, these would be my choices

DISCLAIMER: The prompt isn’t clear if we’re determining the color based on whether the food is cooked or uncooked. I’m going to take a little liberty with this prompt just because I’m such a picky eater.

Red – for red, I choose ground beef. Obviously I’ll cook it and I guess make it brown.

Yellow – bananas. Or maybe cheese. But I’ll choose bananas because this may be the healthiest thing on my list.

Green – I’m a bad eater. I really don’t like many vegetables – if any – so that rules out most green foods for me. But if i have to choose one, I’ll choose lettuce.

Brown – again, it’s my response, so it’s my rules. I’ll choose baked bread for my brown option. It’s kind of brownish the crust. 

I figure with these four color options , I can make few different meals, at least enough that I won’t go insane eating the same foods for 2 weeks. With the 4 things, I figure I can make some hamburger, some sloppy joes, tacos, maybe even some banana bread.

Come to think of it, I would probably get really sick if all that stuff in less than 2 weeks.I’m sure a more experienced cook, or somebody with a more diverse palette, I could come up with many more variations to get me through the two weeks.

Variety truly is the spice of life. Even for a non-foodie like me, I need some variations and my diet, some diversity.
