Here’s an uplifting prompt for a Monday!
My biggest immediate worry is a 2024 presidential election. It’s been so time and time again, but I don’t think it’s any exaggeration that the very future of America’s democracy may be at stake this November.
i’m worried, because I am not certain that Joe Biden will defeat Donald Trump in the election. I worry because of the things I’ve heard that Donald Trump wants to implement where he to get in office again. I worry because of the attempted insurrection on January 6, 2021. I worry about the reproductive rates of women’s, and the rights of minorities. I worry that Donald Trump wants to plunge into a deeply xenophobic isolationist state.
Yeah, there’s a lot at stake this November
Long-term, my greatest worry is for the environment of our planet. I’m fearful for the world that my children will be inheriting. The truth is that money still makes this world go ‘round rich people’s bottom lines don’t always coin over with what’s best for our survival as a species.
While I love my children and I wouldn’t trade them for anything in the world, sometimes I almost feel bad that they’re going to be inheriting this deeply fractured planet. I worry that sometimes we may be l past the point-no-return for protecting earth’s environment.Environmentalists have been sounding the proverbial alarm for decades regarding the planet’s health and we’ve done little to truly change our ways as a people.
OK. Now I’m really depressed.
