As WordPress continues to recycle old prompts, I pulled another prompt from The Coffee Monsterz Co to respond to today

Rate 2025 so far out of 5 stars.

Two stars.

I would honestly probably give it four or five stars if it wasn’t for That Orange Guy becoming the president again.

In my personal life, I’m happy. Maybe happy isn’t really the right word as much as it is “content”. And more content and more ease with myself than I’ve probably been in a very long time. Maybe even ever.

Both my boys are doing well. Kid 1 is about to graduate from high school in two weeks. I’ve probably traveled more and attended more baseball games so far this year than I have in the previous 10 years.

And there’s still more to come. I still would lie to make a baseball road trip this summer. If things continue with Veronica the way they have been, who knows how that string will play out.

However, reality is about to set in. Everything is about to get more expensive, thanks to The Orange Man’s tariffs. I can’t wait till his supporters find out that he doesn’t give two shits about them. It will be very sobering for them. I think. More than that, several marginalized groups in this country – women, minorities, illegal immigrants – are seeing their rights chipped away or outright ripped from them. And we’re only four months into this presidency. I could certainly write multiple blog entries about my issues with this current administration, but if you’ve picked up a newspaper at all on the last several years, you get the idea.
