As WordPress continues to recycle old prompts, I pulled another prompt from The Coffee Monsterz Co to respond to today

If you could see a statistic about someone on their forehead by command, what statistic would you like to see?

If I am answering this question directly as it applies to people here in America, I think that one statistic I would like to see stamped on their forehead would be how they voted in the last three presidential elections.

Politics has always been a pretty big deal to me; given the state of the world today, even more so. Simply stated, I would like to know how people have voted. And it doesn’t even have to be their entire voting history. I just want to know who they voted for for president in the last 3 elections

As much as I hate to admit it, who people have voted for in the last few presidential elections says a great deal about their character. I hate the fact that politics has become so intertwined with our personal ideologies. But unfortunately, that is the country that I am living in today.

I really wonder, if years from now, people are gonna look back and say things to each other like “You’re MAGA. Screw you. You voted for this.” The same people in Germany supported Hitler’s rise to power. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not trying to suggest that Trump is another Hitler. To be honest, Hitler is a lot more shrewd, cunning, ruthless, evil, and persuasive than Trump is. But you get the point. I worry that we’re going to look back on the 2025 election here in the United States as a real turning point in the history of this country. I just hope that we can undo all of the damage that Trump has already done to our reputation, both domestically and abroad

It’s an ugly situation, and I’ll go on record as saying I think Trump is closer to Hitler than most will admit. The populace of 1930s Germany was smarter than the typical voter today, BUT also bringing home paychecks in a wheelbarrow and only having enough to buy a loaf of bread. Trump, or his handlers, used the same demonization and fear tactics that got the nazis elected. “You’re broke and feel unsafe; here’s who to blame”.

That despite the fact I still think he made the right call with bombing Iran.

What far too much of the Left refuses to admit is that Harris ran a horrible campaign. She beat Trump like a dog in that first debate and then completely fell apart. No answers to charges regarding the economy or world politics, barely there at the later debate… Trump didn’t even have to bring up the fact that Harris’s California record shows she’s a figurative bomb thrower and political opportunist. Alot of her language in the old days was inflammatory to say the least. Net result; quite a few people were too disgusted to vote for either party.

And yes, things are definitely going to get worse if neither party can rise above fighting extremism with extremism. The pendulum will just keep swinging back and forth more and more harshly.

  I would really like to have seen what could’ve happened if Harris could’ve run a “full“ presidential campaign like if she had the proper 12 to 18 months to really go through the entire election cycle.
  
  With Biden opting not to run for reelection so late in the game, Harris couldn’t afford to make any mistakes in her abbreviated campaign.

    I have ALOT of mixed feelings about Biden for many reasons, but at the very least, he never should have run for re-election and passed the ball to Harris straight away. THAT said, more time wouldn’t have mattered if she just folded up and did nothing again. Even with the time she had, she could have done a good bit more to make voters question Trump, keep the election closer and keep the maga crowd from the delusion that they have a mandate to destroy the country.
    
    As I mentioned before, she was a bomb-thrower in California back in the day. Like her or hate her, she was never shy about her opinion and never backed down from a fight. I almost wonder anymore if Ross Perot was telling the truth about being strong-armed out of the election back in 1992 with threats against his family, etc… and if the same thing hasn’t been happening in elections since then. If so, we’ve got a real shadow government and are truly up the creek.
