As WordPress continues to recycle old prompts, I pulled another prompt from The Coffee Monsterz Co to respond to today
Do you think the world is a better place now compared to 5 years ago?
As of this writing, there is only one reason, but I think the world is a better place now than it was five years ago. Specifically. It is because we are not living in the middle of a COVID-19 lockdown anymore. Beyond that, I actually think the world is a far worse place now that it was five years ago.
The crazy thing about the lockdown was that the world was actually starting to heal itself. I remember seeing satellite photos from space where you could see that pollution was clearing up over southern California. Keep in mind that the lockdowns lasted just under one year here in the United States.
Unfortunately, here we are in 2025. The same president we hit during the Covid lockdowns get reelected. Unfortunately, now, all of the guard rails and all the firewall seem to be gone. He’s pretty much doing whatever he wants in the US constitution be damned. I don’t think this country can handle another 3 1/2 years of this.
Personally, I’m holding out for the midterm elections. I think we need to see a blue wave coming out. One that would completely turn the orange man into a lame duck for his final two years in office
