As WordPress continues to recycle old prompts, I pulled another prompt from The Coffee Monsterz Co to respond to today

What is something you do that “has no point”, but you do so anyway because it brings you joy?

Doom scrolling

I spend way too much time scrolling on my phone. Yes, I like to tell myself that I’m “reading“ and yes, I think some of the videos are entertaining and actually informative. But for the most part, social media, and TikTok in particular is an enormous time suck.

I don’t really get much out of it. Maybe I acquire some useless knowledge, but I enjoy it. I especially like watching people‘s videos about their dogs and cats. I know, I’m an old softy.
