We all have regrets. We all have things that if we had the opportunity to do over again, we would do differently. But there are some things that really stick on our proverbial craws; things that the matter how we try to spin, we know that we spent too much time in too much money on.
At the risk of sounding like a bitter divorcé, i have to say one thing I spent too much time and too much money on was my marriage. When the papers were signed and everything was finalized, I looked back and realized that I spent all of my 20s and the better part of my 30s with X1
Don’t get me wrong. My marriage to X one gave me kid one, and for him alone, I will forever be grateful for that experience. But it’s tough to look back and realize how much time you invested in a person and yes, how much money I suppose, only for things to come to an end. 
I would never advise people to not get married. But I would strongly caution them to be damn sure that they’re doing it with the right person.
